[to care] linen products

There’s nothing that can be compared to natural linen. It’s a fabric that can last a lifetime if you take proper care of it. Here’s how you should look after your linen products:

Machine wash

Wash at 40°C / 100 °F. Temperature can be increased up to 60 °C / 140 °F for extra stubborn stains. But try to keep hot washes to a minimum to prevent shrinkage - instead see our tricks below for all those fond of breakfast (or dinner) in bed…

Wash separately from other fabrics and colors.

Hand wash

Linen loves hand washing, but be gentle; don’t wring or twist.

Stains

Treat stains as soon as they appear; the longer you wait the more difficult it will be to get rid of them. Follow these steps before you wash linen according to instructions.

  • Beverages (tea, juice, soda): soak in water for 10-15 minutes
  • Red wine: pat with paper towel to remove excess wine, then cover with salt and leave overnight; shake off the salt on the next day.
  • Berries: pour boiling water over the stain, it might vanish instantly.
  • Coffee: pat with dry paper towel and rub with a mixture of dishwashing soap, white vinegar, and water; once most of the stain is gone, wash immediately.
  • Grease: gently rub with dishwasher soap.
